TERRA WATER

Bringing You The Highest Quality Ceramic Water Filter

Ceramic water filters have been proven for over 40 years in as many as 30 countries to significantly reduce waterborne diseases and be a cost-effective and culturally appropriate solution for making safe drinking water at the household level.

How Does A Terra Filter Work?

Terra filters work by using gravity. By pouring dirty water through the top, harmful contaminants are caught and killed in a filter unit. A single Terra filter purifies up to 42 liters of safe, pure drinking water a day, equivalent of 2 and a half plastic gallons.

How Effective Is A Terra Filter?

Terra filters are 100% effective. There is plenty of scientific research that has been done on ceramic pot filtration by the most prestigious health and technology institutions throughout the world such as the World Health Organization, the United Nations, and the Center for Disease Control in the USA, among many Ministries of Health including Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia.

Microbiological tests indicate that ceramic water filters make water pure by removing bacteria, viruses, and small parasites that make you sick. They also remove many particles, chemicals, and other toxins.

In addition to its effectiveness, this particular technology has been praised for its ease of use and cultural appropriateness since it uses locally sourced clay which many traditional cultures have used for centuries to make ceramics.

For us, delivering a product that our customers can feel great about is non-negotiable. This unique approach sets us apart. We guide every step of production, delivery, and filter education to ensure that you get the best products and services you won’t find anywhere else.

Sourcing

Terra will never knowingly compromise by adding synthetics, contaminants, or harmful ingredients into our products, or by using unethical production practices. Our Production Manager carefully vets each of our suppliers, empowering us to source consciously and with sensitivity to local communities and ecosystems as much as we can. This is true for our filters and our containers.

Science

Our quality control team tests our products extensively. If our exhaustive process shows that a product doesn’t meet our standards, we reject the batch. Our standards are based on a rigorous quality control process that we exercise before any product ever leaves our facility. We periodically update the website with our laboratory results from partners at Udayana Medical Center and the National Laboratory in Jakarta.

Standards

Part of our stewardship is to do business responsibly—from sustainably sourcing our materials, to working with local ethical partners, we want to be in the business of uplifting local communities. That means we live by the values we preach: People and Planet.

We reuse, upcycle, or recycle 100% of the waste that comes out of our production process and encourage our partners to do the same.

Our testing standards for Terra products not only meet national Indonesian certifications, but international standards set by the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, United Nations, and Potters for Peace for ceramic water filtration technology.
