Terra Water x Idep Foundation Fight Covid-19 in Bali

We know we're in a tough place when we have to start accepting coronaviruses as part of our life. But we have to keep moving on, embracing the new normal. Realizing it, terra together with Idep Foundation is promoting this new normal at traditional markets as it plays an important role in the economy of society.

Since April 2020, to support the community in fighting Covid-19. terra had launched its first social program partnered with Idep Foundation, a local organization that develops and delivers training, community programs, and media about sustainable development through Permaculture, and community-based disaster management. Terra started with 12 handwashing stations for 11 Banjar (hamlets) in Kemenuh Village, Gianyar. In providing the hand soap, we collaborate with Bio Soap, a project of recycling used cooking oil to soap initiated by Green School Bali. Idep Foundation helped in the distribution.

In May, we expanded our scope by reaching to 8 wet markets in Sukawati Region, in Gianyar. terra donated 52 units of handwashing stations, soaps from Bali Soap and worked with Idep Foundation in the distribution. We also gave away face masks, vitamins, booklets of simple health education and gave instruction on good handwashing to the people who used our hand wash stations. By doing this, terra hopes to reduce the spread of covid-19 during the activities in the wet market to keep the economy's wheels rolling.
